Nambour Special School sports day was once again held during Disability Action Week, in celebration of the unique abilities and talents of our students. Our new team mascots were a hit. Students practiced their YCDI skills of persistence and resilience. There were so many student demonstrating how to be a 'good sport', encouraging others, and even slowing down to support others in their races. The morning part of the carnival involved races for all students, and then after morning tea there were modified field events on the oval, and sensory walks and play in the SHED.Thank you to our STEP students who provided a sausage sizzle and iceblocks, and to the many parents and family members who came along to support the students on this special day.
