This term our English unit is 'Retelling Cultural Stories'. This unit gives classes the opportunity to engage with the culture of another country, through stories. As always, we aim to ensure that our resources and strategies for engaging students are age-appropriate. In Q6 the class have chosen to explore Japanese cultural stories and culture through Manga (written form - comic books and graphic novels) and Anime (animation). It will be exciting to see the way that these formats engage the students, and the learning outcomes at the end of term.
